IMPORTANT NOTE
Policies and procedures for Intra District Permit Applications
have changed for the 2024-2025 school year. 
 

Lanai Road Elementary will be at capacity for the 2024-2025 school year and will not be recommending any INITIAL Intra-District Permits for the 2024-2025 school year.  

 

Lanai is not preventing any parent/guardian from submitting an INITIAL permit application.  We are notifying applicants that INITIAL permit applications will not be recommended due to School is at Capacity.

 

Here is the process that will be followed for all INITIAL Intra-District Permit Applications for the 2024-2025 school year:

  • Within two school days of a parent/guardian submitting an INITIAL application to Lanai, the INITIAL application will not be recommended by the administrator. 
  • The INITIAL permit application that is not recommended by the Requested School (Lanai) and an appeals packet will be provided to the applicant.  
  • Applicants have five days from the date of the initial denial to appeal to the Region North Administrator of Operations.  
 
Please use the Resident School Identifier button to verify your student's assigned school, regardless of where your student currently attends.  The School of Residence is your assigned school that signs off first on the Intra-District Permit application.  This is the LAUSD school located within the boundaries where the parent and student reside.
 
Lanai Road Elementary is NOT a charter and enrollment priority is given to students residing within the Lanai Road attendance boundaries.  Lanai administration diligently verifies the home address information of all incoming and currently enrolled students. Students with falsified addresses will immediately be transferred to their home school.
 
There is no lottery.
There are no Open Enrollment spaces.
