SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL


2017-18 Council

The Lanai Road School Site Council (SSC) is a dynamic group of parents, teachers, and staff whose goal is to identify and respond to the educational and community development needs of our entire student body. The Council meets monthly to discuss curriculum, scheduling, and fundraising priorities for the school and is central to the school’s administrative decision-making process. An even number of parents and teachers on the committee sets the stage for frank discussion, and provides an excellent forum for brainstorming and implementing new ideas to broaden and better our school curriculum. SSC meetings are open to all parents, teachers, administrators, and the local public – we welcome your attendance, input, and questions at each meeting.

The Lanai Road SSC works in partnership with the School Safety Committee, Friends of Lanai Booster (FOLB), PTA, and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) to ensure that student and parent needs are met. School Site Council is a district mandated program and, at Lanai, we are proud of our especially active Council.
