BYOB: Bring Your Own Lip Balm - With the changing weather, we've had an influx of children coming into the office requesting lip balm for chapped lips.  While we are happy to offer a swab of petroleum jelly from a jar, it is most ideal for those with frequent dry lips to come to school with their own lip balm/chapstick/vaseline.  With all personal items including jackets, lunchboxes and water bottles, please label it with your child's first and last name so that it could be returned to them if misplaced.

Please tie back your hair (girls) - Jane in the office would like to remind parents of girls to tie their hair back when sending them to school.

POST-PONED (possible mid-January date) - Understanding the US Educational System -  Were you educated outside of the United States?  Are you confused about how the U.S. school system works and how to best support your student?  Please join Robbie Solomon for an information session and discussion to help enlighten you on the American school system structure.  We will discuss public and private primary, secondary and university paths. We will also discuss standardized testing and the impact of honors/Advanced Placement classes in applying to university.

Save the date:  Stress Reduction for Kids - Thursday, January 24 at 8:30. Presented by Johanna Johnston, Lanai’s Wellness Counselor and Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW). More info to follow.
