Lanai Weekly: April 3 - 7, 2017

Principal’s Message

Dear Families,

“March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.”  We have had a very active month with our Literacy Fair, Steam Fest, Destination Imagination Competition, Gala, Persian New Year Celebration, Parent Teacher Conferences, and our 4th and 5th graders Run for the Gold!  All this and lots of learning too!

Just a few reminders that we need additional clean clothes such as pants, underwear and clean socks for our lower grade students.  Please send them to school to keep in the classroom for needed use. If you’re doing some Spring cleaning and have items that your children have outgrown, consider donating them to our nurse’s office for emergencies. At this moment, girl’s leggings are especially needed as well as socks in all sizes. All kids like to jump in spring puddles, even the big ones!

In addition, please remember that we must follow all traffic, safety, and parking rules when dropping off or picking up your child. The traffic police have been coming around and ticketing. Set the example for your children that rules must be followed whether you’re young or old.

Enjoy your three-day weekend as we honor Cesar Chavez; a civil rights and labor leader who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association. March came in like a lion with all kinds of rainy, windy, winter weather and is going out like a lamb with warm breezes and sunny days.

Happy almost April!

Lisa Elan
