Lanai Weekly: February 13 - February 17, 2017

Principal’s Message

Dear Families,

The talent we have at Lanai is amazing!  We have singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, pianists, guitarists, and even a Rubik's cube master!  Parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and I enjoyed watching so many of our students perform their talents with such confidence and dedication last Saturday.  Of course the day would not have happened without the countless hours of preparation and support from our wonderful parents.  In addition, the cameos of Mr. Hansen and some of our teachers on the video were super fun!

On a hungry note, our cafeteria manager has informed me that many children are coming to the cafeteria and requesting lunch without money.  Please make sure that if your child has received lunch with paying, you visit the cafeteria and settle the account.  Please note, that if a child tells the cafeteria manager that he/she does not have a lunch, she will provide one—we will not let a child go hungry.

Finally, I cannot stress enough the seriousness of obeying all traffic rules around the school. Please do not park in prohibited zones.  Please do not double-park or make unauthorized turns in posted areas.  Please follow the directions of our car drive-thru line volunteers.  Please realize that the regulations and procedures are in place for a reason—the safety of our children.

Enjoy the weekend,

Lisa Elan
