Lanai Weekly: November 6 - 9, 2017

Principal’s Message:

Hi Lanai Parents,

Besides being fall and sweater season, hot chocolate season, and football season, it’s also report card and parent/teacher conference season! That means in the coming days you’ll be meeting with your child’s teacher to discuss how your child is doing. During the conference, you will be given the new report card which has a lot more detail than in the past. You child’s teacher will explain the expanded content areas and the addition of the Math practices as well as the traits for college and career learners. Included in the traits are the new grades of C - consistently, S - sometimes and R -rarely. Also, it is not expected that every content area will be covered each trimester, so you will see N/A in boxes on the report card. Don’t worry - that domain will be covered and graded in the second or third trimester. It surely will take a bit of time for everyone to understand everything about the new report card - teachers and parents alike - but we’ll all get there, one touchdown at a time!

Bye, bye Dodgers. Hello Rams!
