Lanai Weekly: October 3, 2016

Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

This has been a great week at Lanai!  Special thanks to the Harvest of the Month volunteers who shared yummy sweet potatoes to all our students during recess on Monday!  Also, during Musical Theater our students were learning about Bob Fosse and his choreography.  They were dancing to “A Chorus Line” and learned some secrets as to why Fosse wore hats and gloves—ask a third grader to give you the inside scoop!  Our Art Docents were busy working in fourth grade introducing  Wayne Thiebaud and his “Aerial Landscapes” which the students were integrating into their California aerial views of topography.  Finally, first graders were busy in Music using the glockenspiel to the song of “Hickory, Dickory, Dock!”

Our School Safe Plan is completed with the help of our Safety Committee and Positive Discipline Team.  Our ELAC and SSC councils are formed and ready for their support of our school.

Bye, bye September, hello October!

Lisa Elan
