Lanai Weekly: April 27, 2015

Principal’s Message:

Thank you to our students, parents and staff for coming out to Mcdonald's night and supporting Lanai!  It was great to see everyone having a wonderful time talking and dining together.  We definitely took over the restaurant and there were plenty of happy meals and happy faces all around.  Proceeds go to benefit our 5th graders for their culmination activities at the conclusion of the year. Thank you so much!

Mr. Hansen

We are looking for New Family Buddies for the 2015-2016 School Year! - Love Lanai? Want to help new families become acquainted with Lanai?  Then you would make a great New Family Buddy for next year! The program includes reaching out by calling and emailing your new family and welcoming them into our community before school starts.  You will give them your contact information so they can reach out if they have any questions.  You will make sure they know about events such as buddy brunch (usually first Friday of school), kinder picnic (usually 2nd Sun of school), and TEAM volunteer sign-up.  Plan to meet up with them in person at the Buddy Brunch or another event, then touch base with them throughout the year. Let us know if you are up for the challenge and what grades your kids are in so we can match any older kids but it will mostly be kinder families.  We will have approx 120 new families between TK and K some older grades.  If interested, please contact the Lanai Incoming New Family & TK/Kinder Coordinators 2015-16:  Sara Dakarmen or Alisa Lippman
