What is TEAM Lanai, and am I part of it? Yes! TEAM Lanai stands for Together Everyone Achieves More, and every parent and staff is part of TEAM Lanai, it also includes parent groups like PTA (enrichment programs etc.), Friends of Lanai Booster (aka FOLB, fundraising) and the School Site Council. Minutes are posted at

What is being taught in the computer lab? Planet Bravo provides a full technology curriculum targeted at each grade level, in-line with common core standards. For more information, click on the link below:

Can we get updated/functional technology in our classroom? Yes! FOLB has set aside capital improvement dollars, for this year and next, to update technology in every classroom. So far this year, we have equipped every classroom with an ultra short-throw projector! Teacher training is underway now, so ask your teacher about how these projectors are being put to great use! Also, pilots of “classroom hubs” are in the works, and classroom units will be deployed once the devices for each grade-level are tested. Teachers and staff have been sending in many THANK YOUS TO ALL THE PARENTS for these amazing capital improvements!

Did FOLB fund the new office furniture & updates: No. The school/LAUSD funded some modifications, and we also received furniture donations from generous families.

If you have any additional feedback please do not hesitate to email our FOLB President, Pondra Perkins, at

Room Parent Budgets - Lanai families, so we have transparency in the collection and spending of classroom funds, Room Parents have been asked to send their budget to the class so parents understand:

- Breakdown of expenditures so far

- How much funds remain

- How remaining funds will be spent

If you haven't yet received, please email your room parent.  If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the Room Parent or Volunteer Committee please email the coordinators Sara Dakarmen & Elham Emrani Thanks!
