Last week we celebrated Constitution Day on Wednesday, September 17. All classes commemorated the signing of the U.S. Constitution with various activities designated by grade levels. Ask your kids about what they learned!
Teachers will send home warning notices this week to notify parents of students who are at risk of not meeting grade level standards and may receive a 1 or 2 on their report card. Warning notices are a snapshot of how a child is doing at this point in time. These scores are not necessarily a direct indication of how they will do on their report card, but do provide insight as to how far along a child is doing in comparison to where they are expected to be at this point in the year. If your child receives a warning notice, please contact your child’s teacher via email or phone to discuss their progress. With the support and partnership between school and home our students will be successful.

Volunteers - Last year, more than 27 million hours were donated by dedicated PTA volunteers statewide - hours that positively impact the lives of children and families. Just imagine what your child’s school would look like without the programs and events that are planned and executed by FOLB & PTA. Take a minute to say "thank you" to volunteers at your school who give of their time and talent to enrich the life of your child. Can’t volunteer this year? The act of joining your PTA is a powerful way to show your support.
Library - a clean-out of storage will happen Tuesday, September 23rd. Contact Mike Chase at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help!
