Lanai Leader Correction Due to an editorial error in the May issue, the published version of the Ritz & Glitz Gala and Auction article accidentally left out several important thank you’s that Genene Turndorf had included for Jillian Green, Sheri Abelson, Deidre Kotch, Mary Mirolla, Jen Bressler Ruderman, Alisa Lippman, Jen Michael, Anita Barone & Matt Glave, and Amy & Matt Winston. Deepest apologies — the omission was unintentional and the entire original article is reprinted in the “News” on the Lanai Road website (, or simply click on the "May 2014 Lanai Leader” logo. - Jill Dickerson, Editor

Harvest of the Month – Thank You and Survey Results The last Harvest of the Month was May 16th. We served oranges, tangerines and orange juice. Thank you to the students who filled out the survey, and now the results are in! The 1st place favorite Harvest of the Month for this year was… strawberries! 2nd was oranges, 3rd went to Brussels sprouts and 4th was asparagus. For the next question, “What would you like to taste next school year?” the top four were watermelon, strawberries, Brussels sprouts and peaches. Most unusual suggestion went to jalapenos, with 6 votes. Lastly, thank you to all the students who took the time to make a thank you note for Whole Foods, Tarzana. Thanks again & see you next year! -- Juanita Probst, Harvest of the Month chair.
