Lanai Weekly  Oct 27-31, Week 11

Principal’s Message:

Dear Parents,

We have had an incredible experience with good Samaritans which leads us to send home this friendly reminder.  We would like to remind parents that students should only be buying food for themselves at the cafeteria.  While we appreciate the generous spirit of our students and know they are trying to be good friends, they need to purchase food only for themselves.  It can be eye opening when a parent makes a deposit on their child's lunch account, then it has a zero balance shortly thereafter due to friendship. In addition, some students have food allergies and need to be mindful of what they are consuming.  If you would like to track your child's cafeteria purchases, you may do this at  A full month of lunch is $40.00 at $2.00 per day over 20 school days and breakfast is $30.00 at $1.50 per day over the same time period.  If your children are spending more than this amount, it could be due to their generosity.

Thank you for speaking with your student, and making the necessary adjustments.  We want all of our students to be safe and healthy at Lanai.
