Lanai Weekly: 2016-17 End Of Year Smiles...Tears...Smiles
The last week of school for the 2016-2017 year and it was lovely. We began with LEXIA and Laps awards on Monday - smiles; and ended with the Walk of Honor on Friday - tears. In between the 1st graders participated in their annual Spelling Bee; Kinders engaged in water fun; classroom parties were all around; kickball and basketball games of 5th graders vs. staff; lots of yearbook signings; 5th grade fitness awards; and of course, the 5th grade Culmination—smiles and tears. The end of year is always bittersweet as we reflect on how quickly the school days past and how much our students have learned and grown. We say goodbye to our 5th graders and wish them love, luck and goodness as they embark on the next stage of their lives. Smiles…Tears…Smiles.
Have wonderful summer,
