As we start the new school year, I want to review the dismissal procedures for all kindergarten and first grade students. Kindergarten and first grade students are to be picked up by a parent/ guardian from their child’s classroom promptly at 2:40. If your child is not picked up by 2:50, the teacher will then walk them to the patio, where an aide will wait with them until 3:00. After 3:00, your child will be taken to the office. The aide will notify the office staff that your child will be picked up from SEEDS After School Care located in the library. The Parent is then responsible to pay SEEDS for child care services.
If your kindergarten student is enrolled in SEEDS After School Care or YES Enrichment Classes, a SEEDS staff member will pick them up from their classroom. The teachers will release the students to the SEEDS staff only.
If your first grade student is enrolled in SEEDS After School Care or YES Enrichment Classes, the classroom teacher will walk the students to the library for child care and to the cafeteria tables for enrichment classes. This will be done after dismissing all other students from the classroom.
Parents, please do not conference with the teachers after school until the dismissal process is complete. By following these procedures, the dismissal process will run smoothly and all children will get to their destinations safely. We appreciate your cooperation!
