Lanai Weekly: Feb 9, 2015

Principal’s Message:

We have an exciting collaboration between Team Lanai Cares and Subway during the next month that will benefit the Fight Childhood Hunger Project.  Subway will be selling turkey and tuna sandwiches immediately following dismissal the next four Mondays starting on February 9.  All proceeds from Subway will be used to purchase backpacks that will be filled with canned food items from our Team Lanai Cares canned food drive in March.  The canned food drive is scheduled from March 16-20.  Team Lanai Cares students will fill backpacks with food and deliver them to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission at the end of March.  All additional food will be donated to SOVA Community Food and Resource Center.  Thank you to Adam Dery, 5th grade student, for connecting with the Fight Childhood Hunger Project and Mrs. Jody Chow, parent advisor for Team Lanai Cares for teaming up on this worthwhile endeavor.

Mr. Hansen
