Lanai Weekly: Feb 27, 2015

Principal’s Message:

The Literacy Fair was a huge success!  Our students visited the Literacy Fair in the library with their classes and participated in many fun activities.  One of my favorite activities was related to the story of The Giving Tree.  Students had the opportunity to write a sentence on a leaf about how they give to their families, communities and the planet.  Then the leaves were placed on a giant giving tree outside of the library for everyone to read and share.  Thank you to Miki Chase and her Literacy Fair team for putting on a spectacular event!  A big shout out also goes to Mary Mirolla for dressing up as Thing 1 and spending the day reading to classes.

Mr. Hansen
