THANK YOU TO ALL THE “DIWALI” VOLUNTEERS - On Friday, November 13th, the kids enjoyed a fantastic assembly and fun recess activities to celebrate our first multicultural day of the year, “Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights.” Thank you to our parents: Nikki Sood, Rajita Patil, Sheetal Patel, Darshana Parekh, Aishwarya Jain and Neha Datar for their knowledge, time and energy! And a big thanks to our student dancers who performed at the morning assembly: Surya Patil, Ahren bhatia, Beyla Patil, Georgia McIntosh, Ella Cholfin, Maya Pushpathadam, Ameya Jain and Kiki Callis!
Holiday Adopt-A-Family Project - Nov. 30 - Dec. 14 This holiday season, Lanai Road's Team Lanai Cares (TLC) program has chosen to sponsor families from a local transitional shelter for holiday gift giving. Each classroom will be assigned a separate family. Participation is entirely optional. More information will be sent out next week.

Please join us from November 30 through December 4 for Lanai's Annual Book Fair. The book fair will be open from Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:45am - 3:30pm, Tuesday from 7:45am - 2:30pm and Friday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. There will also be evening hours on Wednesday, December 2 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a book signing from our own Genene Turndorf, co-author of Sammy Spider's First Taste of Hanukkah: A Cookbook. And on Friday, December 4 from 7:00 am - 8:15 am its Dads and Donuts! Dads, come browse the book fair with your kid(s) and enjoy donuts and coffee!
Reflections Art Contest - The Reflections Art Contest winners will be announced and honored during the morning assembly November 30th. All entries will be displayed November 30th-December 4th at Lanai.
Gala and Auction Kick-Off Meeting: Are you interested in learning about the volunteer opportunities for the Gala and Auction? The Next issue of the Lanai Leader is coming up! The deadline to submit articles is Friday, November 27th. The theme for student submissions for the January issue of the Lanai Leader is ”What I love about Lanai”. Students are invited to write one sentence or more.

Musical Theater Performance coming up! - Friday, December 4 at 6:00 pm and Saturday, December 5 at 1:00 pm are performances of the Seeds after school performing arts musical ONCE UPON LANAI ( directed by Mr. Jay) in the Dakarmen Girls auditorium. All tickets at the door are $2.
