Lanai Weekly: October 26, 2015

Principal’s Message:

Dear Parents,

Thank you for volunteering at Spooktacular!  We appreciate all parents giving so much of their time to set-up, work booths and clean-up after the carnival.  The investment of your personal time provided our students, families and community with a wonderful event.

You are welcome to join us on Friday, October 30, at 8:15 a.m. on the upper playground for our annual Halloween Costume Parade.  Participation is optional and students who do not participate are encouraged to wear regular Friday spirit wear.  Costumes should be appropriate and safe to wear.  Masks will be allowed during the parade, but not during the regular school day.  No weapons of any kind are allowed at school.  This would include but is not limited to lightsabers, swords, ninja nunchucks,  etc.  It is best to leave all items that need to be carried at home for the actual night of Halloween.

Sincerely,

Mr. Hansen

Volunteer Badge Reminder - LAUSD requires all volunteers to sign in and wear a badge. This includes art docents, PE volunteers, etc.  If you need a badge, pick up a form in the front office or Parent Center and return it with a negative TB test result form from your doctor or clinic.  (The minute clinic at CVS in Sherman Oaks is an easy place to get a TB test!) If you’ve received an email that your badge is in...remember to pick it up in the Parent Center. Questions?  Email Lisa Reeve, Parent Center Director at lisa.reeve@lanairoad.net  Thanks!

Board Game Donations Needed! -  The rainy season is coming and that means plenty of indoor time!  If you have board games you are not using, think about giving them to the school. They will be used for PTA events and YS/SEEDS after school.  Please drop off games in the bin in the front office.

Have you moved? LAUSD policy states you have 30 days to notify the office or forfeit your right to a continuing enrollment permit. Please bring your new address information to the office if you have moved.
