Lanai Weekly: Jan 19, 2015

Lanai Weekly  Jan 19-23, Week 20

Principal’s Message:

Dear Parents,

We are at the halfway mark of the 2nd reporting period and warning notices will be sent home on Friday, January 23.  If your child receives a notice, please work with your child’s teacher to address their needs in the appropriate subject area.  The end of the reporting period is February 27 and there is time to get back on track.  As a principal and a father I can relate since my oldest bear in 9th grade needed to put more focus in his Biology class and my middle bear in 7th grade attended tutoring before school to strengthen his Algebra skills.  Warning notices are another way to partner together to support our students.

Mr. Hansen

LAUSD requires all parent volunteers to wear a volunteer badge while on school grounds. Many of the volunteer badges have finally arrived! (but not all). If you submitted an application to volunteer at Lanai, please pick yours up at the Parent Center on the filing cabinet near the printer.  If you want to check to see if yours has come in, email Lisa at lisa.reeve@lanairoad.net.  If you need a badge (all volunteers are required to have one), please pick up an application in the Parent Center or the Main Office.
